Cafe Racer Custom Show Returns
For the first time in two long years, Cafe Racer’s Ride-In Custom Show returns to Sewickley’s War Memorial Park on Sunday, August 3. The crew took a break in 2024, but you, our dedicated readers, filled our in-boxes with enough impassioned demands that the event return for another year, and yes, we’ve heard you loud and clear.
The venue, located in scenic Sewickley Boro, just 12 miles from Downtown Pittsburgh will open its doors at 10 am for all riders of classic, custom and one-off motorcycles. The roster of show classes has changed a bit since 2023’s record-breaking, day-long event, with trophies awarded for the following categories: Best Modern Cafe Racer, Best Classic Cafe Racer, Best Bobber, Wildest Engineering, Peoples Choice and everyone’s favorite, Best In Show. Tabulating the trophy winner for the hotly contested Best in Show award will be conducted by our magazine’s staff while the coveted People’s Choice Award will be presented to one lucky bike builder selected by show attendees.
During the past 18 months, we’ve met cafe racer enthusiasts from across the country who shared images and stories of machines they were designing specifically for the Ride-In Show. Their dedication to what has become the country’s largest outdoor-only custom motorcycle show convinced us to take up the challenge, dust off our trophy collection and fling open the doors for another memory-filled summer day filled with the best two-heeled technical ingenuity to be found anywhere.
We’ll be joined by sponsors Mecum Motorcycle Auctions, Cognito Moto, Design Engineering, Inc and others both local and national. Arrangements are underway to bring in demo rides on new Royal Enfield and BSA streetbikes while parts and accessories vendors, plus food trucks, microbreweries and riding gear sellers will make for an exciting day.
Keep an eye on our weekly Editor’s Blog (www,caferacermag.com/category/blog) our Facebook page and this magazine for details. It all kicks off with a roar on Sunday, August 3 at 10 am. Sewickley’s War Memorial Park is located on Blackburn Road, adjacent to the Sewickley YMCA. Admission, including bike show entry, is just $10 for the day.
